Thousands of seniors and veterans across Metro Atlanta face housing instability despite having income or benefits. Sponsor A Bed allows you to support safe, stable housing access and essential services for older adults who need a bridge to long-term stability.

Your sponsorship directly supports safe, stable housing for older adults who need structure, support, and a chance to rebuild.

Essential Sponsor

Provides half a month of housing for 1 member OR funds hygiene kits and move-in essentials for 4–5 new members

 What is the Sponsor a Bed program?

Sponsor a Bed is a Group Home Alliance program that helps seniors age 55+ and veterans in Metro Atlanta access stable housing support and essential services.

 Where does my money actually go?

Your donation covers:

  • Housing costs (rent, utilities)

  • Move-in supplies like hygiene kits and linens

  • Case management and support services

  • Transportation and daily essentials

Each $1,000 helps cover one full month of housing for one member — but donations are pooled to serve as many people as possible across our shared housing units.
 

 What does “25 months of housing” mean?

It means your gift covers the equivalent of 25 months of housing support — for example, 5 members for 5 months, or 2 members for over a year. This allows us to keep beds open, maintain units, and move people off waiting lists when they need us most.
 

Will the people you help just end up back on the street?

No. Our program provides more than a bed — we provide a bridge. Each member receives structure, support, and access to resources that help them move forward. That includes job assistance, benefits enrollment, healthcare referrals, and help securing permanent housing. Your donation gives someone breathing room and a path to progress.
 

Are donations tax-deductible?

Yes. Group Home Alliance is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. All donations are 100% tax-deductible as allowed by law. You’ll receive a receipt for your records after donating.
 

Can I sponsor more than one bed or donate monthly?

Absolutely. Many of our supporters choose to make monthly contributions or sponsor multiple beds. Recurring donations help us serve more people, more consistently — and give us the power to grow.
 

Can I make a gift in honor of someone or remain anonymous?

Yes. You can dedicate your gift in honor or memory of someone special. You can also choose to remain anonymous — just let us know during the donation process.

All donations are 100% tax-deductible.
Sponsors will receive a personalized thank-you letter and may be publicly recognized unless anonymity is requested.
