Senior Transit Assistance Program (MARTA Cards)

Our MARTA Card Program removes one of the biggest barriers older adults face—transportation. Free weekly transit passes ensure seniors can access medical care, housing appointments, grocery stores, community programs, and vital resources that support their safety, independence, and quality of life.

Helping You Get Where You Need to Go — One Ride at a Time

What is the MARTA Card Program?

The MARTA Card Program provides limited weekly transportation assistance to help eligible individuals maintain access to the resources and opportunities they need.

This program is designed for:

  • Seniors

  • Veterans

  • Individuals experiencing housing instability

  • Those referred by partner agencies or 211

While supplies last, Group Home Alliance distributes a limited number of weekly MARTA cards at no cost to qualified applicants. This is part of our mission to bridge the transportation gap and connect people to opportunity.

 Important Notes:

  • This program does not offer gas cards, rideshare services, or direct transportation.

  • We only offer MARTA weekly passes.

Who qualifies for the program? We prioritize seniors (55+), senior veterans, and older adults experiencing housing instability, especially those referred by partner agencies, 211, hospitals, or case managers.

How often can I apply?

This support is intended as short-term assistance. Based on demand and availability, seniors may receive a pass periodically to help bridge transportation gaps.
